Jeffrey Davis who has been a lecturer in the School of Film and Television since 1993, holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the Iowa Writer's Workshop.

He began his writing career under a four-year contract to Universal TV and has since written over a dozen situation comedies including NIGHT COURT and VALERIE'S FAMILY, pilots for Embassy TV and NBC and been a contributing writer on animation and variety shows. He has co-produced and written industrials, documentaries for A&E and the History Channel and provided comedy product for EVEO.com. Arnold Kopelson and ALL GIRL Productions have optioned screenplays and his plays have been widely produced. THE STAND-UP was a winner of the 2000 Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights' Festival. PETER PAN IN HOLLYWOOD, originally produced by Milton Katselas at the Skylight Theatre, received a second equity production in Ventura, California at Theatre on Main. Current projects include working with producer/writer Bruce Taylor and Norwegian Television, marketing his screenplays, among them an adaptation of an Elizabeth Enright pre-teen novel. He is also developing a children's show, WORK N' PLAY BOOGIE MOBILE, with Weller/Grossman Productions. Jeffrey is a member of the WGA and the Dramatists' Guild.
