A Mechanical Engineer turned filmmaker, Anay Tarnekar has been associated with filmmaking for the last eighteen years as a writer, director, producer, editor, assistant director and director of photography, working on TV commercials, feature films, short films and documentaries. He was honored by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work as the co-producer/editor on CACHAO: UNO MAS, a documentary which premiered on PBS's multiple Emmy-winning series American Masters. Anay is also a fellow of Sundance Screenwriters Lab for a feature project that is in development and being produced by Jar Pictures. His short film THE KILL is currently playing at film festivals around the world. As the Resident Filmmaker at the School of Film and Television, Anay's focus is to oversee promotional videos and special productions with primarily a student-alum crew. He produces LMU's signature series THE HOLLYWOOD MASTERS, which is currently in distribution. Anay is also an amateur painter and a wildlife photographer.
