Welcome to the Entertainment Industry Internship Program!
Loyola Marymount University’s Definition of an Internship:
An LMU Internship is an educational experience in which students take on meaningful responsibilities within an organization and contribute to the success of that organization, which is asked, in turn, to treat interns as new entry-level staff members in training.
Entertainment Industry Internship Program
The School of Film & Television works closely with LMU’s Career Development Services office to support our film and television students in finding an internship that is in alignment with their entertainment interests, qualifications and long-term career goals.
Program Mission:
- Connect SFTV students to key internship opportunities in the entertainment industry
- Provide internship advisement for SFTV students
- Provide the necessary resources and tools for SFTV students to maximize their career seeking skills (resume/cover letter support, info sessions, etc.)
- Provide employer outreach & maintain employer contacts for new internships, info sessions, panels, etc.
At SFTV, we promote internships to students at all class levels, both undergraduate and graduate who demonstrate the professionalism, maturity and hard-working qualities our school promotes. Every term, SFTV students are placed on notable productions and within various departments of production companies, studios, agencies and networks throughout the industry. We consistently receive positive feedback from supervisors, many of whom have mentioned having a preference in hiring LMU students, due to their high caliber work performance.
The Entertainment Industry Internship Program would like to acknowledge the following for their support:
