Our MFA program in writing for the screen uses long-form storytelling as a basis for cultivating voice and artistry in students who want to become screenwriters. Coursework and class discussions help you develop your unique point of view while you craft a portfolio of feature-length screenplays and other work that reflects your talent and ideas. During the final year of the program, you’ll refine your writing further and learn how to present your projects and vision to attract interest in your work and demonstrate your readiness to write compelling stories for films and TV.
