Consistently ranked among the nation’s top 10 film schools, LMU’s School of Film and Television offers three highly regarded graduate programs that focus on the art and process of creative visual storytelling.

Hands-On Learning and Mentorship

Our elite group of graduate students benefits from small classes and individual mentor relationships that form the foundation of all three of our programs. Collaborative, hands-on projects and workshops encourage students to stretch their creative boundaries in a challenging but supportive environment. Students work in close partnership with faculty and peers to produce a professional portfolio of work that defines their unique artistic vision and demonstrates their talent and qualifications to future employers.

Professional Development

Each three-year MFA program combines rigorous coursework in process and craft with an emphasis on professional development that prepares students to succeed in the ever-evolving entertainment industry. From working with cutting-edge technology to networking with industry pros to perfecting the art of the pitch, our MFA graduates are prepared to jump-start their careers with a mastery of their art and an insider’s understanding of the industry.
