As Visiting Clinical Professor and Creative Producing Coordinator at LMU’s School of Film and Television, I’m thrilled to collaborate with our administration, faculty, and staff to bring real-world, frontline experience directly into the classroom. With over 25 years as a working film and television producer, I draw on both past projects and active, in-the-moment negotiations—sometimes unfolding live in class—as case studies to give students a clear-eyed, current view of the ever-evolving landscape of content production and distribution, both domestically and internationally.
Throughout my time at LMU, I’ve brought in Emmy-winning showrunners, Oscar-winning filmmakers, top producers, studio executives from every major platform, and partners from the five leading talent agencies to engage directly with our students. These sessions have included high-level creatives and decision-makers in worldwide marketing, distribution, casting, and international sales—each offering insider perspectives students won’t find in textbooks.
Our three-year MFA program gives creative producers the space to refine their instincts, develop a meaningful network, and build the practical skills required to lead. My goal is to demystify the Hollywood ecosystem and prepare our students—vigilantly and unapologetically—for the demands and opportunities of a lasting career in entertainment. They leave LMU not just with knowledge, but with a vision and roadmap for shaping the future of storytelling.
