Edward Ayala
Filmmaker Bio
Edward Ayala is a biologist turned filmmaker who has been telling stories for 11 years. I am a filmmaker devoted to telling intimate stories on the largest scale possible, weaving together faith, action, adventure, and mysticism. My work challenges audiences with moral dilemmas and high-stakes situations, offering cinematic journeys that reflect the human struggle for meaning, truth, and transformation. I’m inspired by the greats—and I believe that through powerful storytelling, audiences can see themselves, confront their regrets, rediscover resilience, and walk away changed. My films aim to remind us that we are not alone, that our stories matter, and that cinema still has the power to move, inspire, and connect us all.
Edward Ayala specialized in directing at LMU. He is currently producing an independent feature film and will continue creating and collaborating on various short films, music videos, and commercial projects. Edward appreciates every aspect of filmmaking and wants to be a director, writer, and producer of many independent and studio films in the future.
"...for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
