Tucker Somberg

Filmmaker Bio

From a young age, Tucker thrived on mischief and invention—building BMX bikes one day, gluing marbles to his dad’s desk the next. His curiosity deepened at Boston College, where wrestling with the ideas of Kant and Nietzsche sharpened his storytelling lens. Inspired by the character-driven brilliance of Altman and Cassavetes, Tucker creates films that delve into the psychology of individuals and their environments.

Once the kid banned from art supplies, he now channels that same irrepressible creativity into inventive visual techniques, infusing his stories with depth, heart, and humor.

"The most difficult thing in the world is to reveal yourself, to express what you have to. As an artist, I feel that we must try many things - but above all we must dare to fail. You must be willing to risk everything to really express it all."

- John Cassavetes
